It’s been almost 3 years since Pip Brown (aka Ladyhawke) released her ARIA-Award winning self-titled debut to great critical acclaim, and in a recent interview with Triple J Magazine she’s let slip that her latest effort is due for release this coming October.

Her debut effort earned peaked at number 16 on the ARIA charts going gold after selling over 35,000 records, and shooting to number 1 in New Zealand where it went platinum.

In the interview she says “Everything on the album is a little bit anxious-feeling, disjointed, but not in a negative way, just a weird sense of abandonment,” Brown says of the so-far untitled disc. “I made up different versions of myself; it’s my head going crazy.”

She goes on to detail the ‘crippling exhaustion’ she faced following the runaway success of her debut, returning to New Zealand after suffering from a complete breakdown.  Stay tuned for any more news closer to the release date.
