Could this be the coolest record release ever? Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme and occassion vocalist Mark Lanegan, along with recording artist Beck, have recorded remixed versions of some of Jack White’s songs for release by the former White Stripes front mans label Third Man Records.

The limited edition release includes Beck covering White Stripes classic ‘The Hardest Button To Button’ from 2003 album ‘Elephant’, and Homme with Lanegan covering The Dead Weather’s ‘Hang You From The Heavens’.

The double A-side 7″ will come packaged with a live Raconteurs 12″ recorded at a September gig at the Third Man store in Nashville, as well as a DVD documenting Third Man’s Devil’s Night party in 2010 which showcased performances by The Greenhornes and the Black Belles.

But the only way to get your grubby little hands on a copy will be to sign up to Third Man Records ‘The Vault’ service. This release is the tenth for subscribers. You can get a sneak peak at the DVD below.
