Yep, we all know that everyone’s favourite nice guy Dave Grohl and his rocking co-pranksters are on their way back down under for what is promising to be another awesome Foo Fighters tour and now comes the announcement that some of the best young acts in Australia will be on the road with them.

Joining Fucked Up and Tenacious D on the Fooey’s Australian/NZ tour will be local champs Calling All Cars, hot off the back of their own enormous tour in support of their album Dancing With A Dead Man, and DZ Deathrays (that explosive duo that Tone Deaf’s Cayce Hill interviewed for Tone Deaf TV not that long ago: check out Part 1 and Part 2 of the chat).

Bringing a bit of rockin’ femininity to proceedings will be the beautifully punishing rock goddesses Stonefield and across the pond, Best Rock Album nominees in Vodafone’s New Zealand Music Awards 2011, Cairo Knife Fight will be repping for the Long White Cloud.
