Do you know a band that loves the Misfits? Well they’re about to think Christmas has come early. The promoters of The Misfits upcoming Australian tour have announced they’ll be running a competition to select the opening bands on each of the tours dates.

All you need to do to enter is head to the promoters page on Facebook and hit ‘like.’ From here you’ll be directed to an entry form for your band’s details.

Fifteen bands in each state (Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide) will then be chosen, and then the choice is handed over to anyone who has liked the Facebook page; they get to vote on which bands they think are most deserving of the support slot.

The band with the most votes in each state wins the coveted opening slot at The Misfits show in their home town. The main tour supports will be announced next week.

Applications for the competition are now open and you have until Thursday 10th November to get your band’s details in. Public voting will open on the Friday 11th November and close on Friday 25th with the winners for each state will beannounced on Sunday 27th of November.
