Following the release of their new album, Twelve Hundred Times, Melbourne post-rock five piece Laura will be making their way around the East Coast in just over a week.

Having released their last album, Radio Swan is Down, in 2006, Twelve Hundred Times, has been a long time in the making. With the band describing the album as, “lean and sharp as planned but ultimately more sentimental than we envisioned,” audiences can expect a dark, moody and complicated set.

The album is a promising mix of intense and delicate music with singles such as “Mark the Day” and “This Grey Earth” receiving considerable amounts of attention, with “Mark the Day” being named single of the week by both Beat Magazine and Inpress.

With high praise from Brag suggesting that Laura’s massive wall of sound paralyses the room with awe…They’re like a hit of LSD – you can’t stop it or control it, you just flow with it until it ends abruptly, leaving you naked and disoriented,” their live show should not be missed.
