The Soundwave train keeps on rolling with news this afternoon that the Brisbane leg of the festival tour has now sold out. Brisbane is the second date to sell out, with Melbourne selling out in record time after tickets went on sale. Soundwave have continued to defy the odds with their 2012 lineup, with many other stalwarts of the festival scene failing to attract large crowds this year.

Strong sales haven’t deterred organisers from continuing the pile acts onto the already sweltering lineup with Bush, In Flames, The Black Dahlia Murder, Holy Grail, and more just added last week. A second announcement of acts was made mid-October adding Bad Religion, Tonight Alive, Strung Out and more. They’ll be joining the first announcement of bands which included System Of A Down, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Marilyn Manson and more.

However not all has been rosy for the organisers, despite the festival being months away that hasn’t stopped controversy from circling the organisers. A while back Courtney Love cancelled her band Hole’s appearance at the festival after a war of words with promoter AJ Maddah over their billing under Limp Bizkit.
