Sydney-based music manager Julian Marshall should be on top of the world. As the man at the helm of the careers of Northlane, Nina Las Vegas, and Illy, he’s steering three of the hottest acts in the country.

However, the success of Northlane, who enjoyed a number-one album, ARIA Awards, and countless sold-out tour dates last year, recently landed the WAU Management staffer in hospital.

“What happens when you drop a box of ARIA Awards on your foot in the cab line,” one of Marshall’s coworkers wrote on Instagram. Apparently, Marshall had been tasked with carrying a box of ARIAs down to Melbourne.

As he waited for a cab, a box filled with what is easily one of the heaviest major music awards in the world fell on his foot, with one of the awards even piercing his foot, requiring medical attention.

As readers can see below, several medics were at the scene, tending to the manager’s badly injured foot. According to FasterLouder, Marshall is now in hospital, recovering from the ARIA-inflicted injury.

As a show of solidarity, several of Marshall’s peers have started the #PutYourARIASOut hashtag. So if you happen to have an old ARIA lying around somewhere, show your support for Julian Marshall.
