Mmiiddii – beats, bass, guitar, synths
Kam – vocals, synth, keys, beats
‘Fess up. What records have you stolen from your parents’ record collection and why?
Mmiiddii – Cat Stevens and Rolling Stones Vinyl
Kam – Bowie, Floyd, UB40, 2Pac … I remember listening to “Dear Mama” and instantly feeling a connection.
What’s on heavy rotation on your iPod right now?
Mmiiddii – Little Dragon, Oscar n’ Martin, SBTRKT, TV on the Radio
Kam – What he said + q-tip, Frank Ocean, Mos Def
‘Home taping is killing the music business’ was the catch-cry of the record industry in the 1970s and 1980s, but it managed to survive until now. What do you think is the difference between mates taping copies of friend’s records back in the 80s and 90s and file sharing now?
File sharing is easier, cheaper and a lot more accessible. It’s aiding in the spreading of good music and some not so good music. The times are changing and we need to change with them.
You must answer this question honestly or we steal your rider. What was the first gig you went to? Where it and what was was the venue?
Mmiiddii – Powderfinger’s rock n soul revue at the hordern pavilion in 2005 then the next day I went to the Big Day Out for free cause my mate knew the bouncer.
Kam – Black Eyed Peas … around the time of Elephunk.
What’s your favourite site to download music from and do you ever pay for it? Can we find any of your releases there?
Mmiiddii – torrents and getting shit off kam’s usb, I like to buy cd’s off cdwow.com
Kam – HYPEM, iTunes, Bee mp3 haha.
What artist made you want to pick up an instrument and/or sing?
Mmiiddii – I wanted to be Hendrix, and still do.
Kam – I wanted to be Chris Martin, and still do.
Have you ever been arrested?
Our lawyer has advised us not to answer this.
Do you have any particular ritual before you go on stage, or even a lucky charm you take with you?
We’ve never played live
What’s been your most outrageous rider request?
We’ll probably request a bunch of puppies to play with when we get a rider
Because it’s more fun to do things together, which living Australian artist would you most like to collaborate with? Tell us why?
Mmiiddii – I’ve been listening to that Oscar n Martin album a lot so probably those guys. Would try write some usher jam back when he had some confessions to be told
