We’ve been hearing talk about new material from Public Image Ltd, John Lydon’s post-Sex Pistols band, for some time now. Finally the group have dropped the first single ‘One Drop’ off what they promise will be a new 12-track LP due to be released in May or June.

The track is a lilting, almost dub-ska track, and while it may not live up to the expectations of the some Public Image Ltd’s more hardcore fanbase for most it will fit nicely in the ‘not too bad’ pile.

The song will also appear as a limited edition vinyl-only EP that the group will release on Record Store Day, April 21st. The song and album are the first material from the group in nearly two decades, the last being 1992’s That What Is Not, which was released just months before they went on indefinite hiatus.
