This year’s Rock And Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony is set to see a long-awaited reunion, with the original lineup of Bon Jovi planning to come together to perform “a couple songs”.

Back in December, it was announced that acts such as Bon Jovi, The Cars, Nina Simone, The Moody Blues, and Dire Straits are set to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in April. Of course, some people, including Judas Priest’s Rob Halford, weren’t too happy that they were overlooked, with this year’s list of overlooked nominees consisting of hugely influential groups such as Radiohead, Rage Against The Machine, Depeche Mode, and Eurythmics.

Speaking to Billboard recently, Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan revealed that the group’s upcoming performance at the induction ceremony is set to feature the original members of the band, including Ritchie Sambora and Alec John Such, playing together for the first time in a long while.

“Speaking to Alec on the phone, it was wonderful,” Torres told Billboard. “We took that journey together at certain times as a group, and I think it’s wonderful we can re-enact that — not only for us, but for the fans. I think when you get together with old friends, there’s always going to be some deep emotions within that.”

Bryan went on to confirm that the reunited group will play “a couple songs” at the ceremony, stating that it will be “pretty cool. We’re really looking forward to that.”

Bon Jovi first formed back in 1983, with vocalist Jon Bon Jovi, drummer Tico Torres, and keyboardist David Bryan remaining the only consistent members throughout the group’s history. Bassist Alec John Such was fired by the band in 1994, while guitarist Richie Sambora rather unceremoniously left the group in 2013.

The Rock And Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony is set to take place in Cleveland, Ohio on April 14th. Be sure to keep an eye out for which songs the group will perform at the event.
