Being a fan of Pearl Jam has always had its benefits. Why, the group’s famous Ten Club was the way that folks first got the chance to hear their now-famous cover of ‘Last Kiss’. Now, the group have given their dedicated listeners another exclusive song.

As Rolling Stone reports, Pearl Jam’s Ten Club fan club received a brand new song on Saturday titled ‘Can’t Deny Me’, which happened to also be the day that bassist Jeff Ament turned 55.

The track seems to be just another in a long line of tunes taking aim at current US President Donald Trump. With lyrics that include lines such as “You may be rich but you can’t deny me/got nothing but the will to survive,” and “The country you are representing/condition critical,” the group clearly aren’t pulling any punches, and it serves as a welcome return for the group.

While Pearl Jam haven’t been making much music since their last record, 2013’s Lightning Bolt, the group haven’t been just resting on their laurels. The last couple of years have seen the group inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, while Eddie Vedder also lent his solo talents to an episode of the new series of Twin Peaks.

So far, ‘Can’t Deny Me’ isn’t available to be streamed in Australia (thanks, copyright laws), so you’ll have to do with a small snippet via Twitter. Regardless, it serves as a good sampling of what the tune is like, and only makes us more eager for Pearl Jam to either officially release this tune, or whack it on a new, upcoming album.
