Melbourne talent Ka-tya (aka Katia Pshenichner) is today unveiling her brand new single ‘Little House’ an indie dark pop masterpiece that sees Ka-tya carry memories of her Soviet childhood.

Having trained as a classic pianist and studied jazz and improvisation at university, Ka-tya put her musical ambitions to rest for a little while to spend a few years working as a lawyer, but luckily for us (that said we’re sure she was a great lawyer) she’s decided to go back and focus on her true passion, music.

‘Little Houe’ the the first taste from Ka-tya’ upcoming debut EP titled Sky Above. She recorded the EP while in Berlin with producer and fellow Australian Josh The Cat.

Drawing influence from alt-pop icons like Regina Spektor, Bat For Lashes and Kate Bush, this single is an exciting taste of just what we can expect in the not too distant future. If you like what you’re herding pop by Ka-tya’s Facebook event for more info on upcoming shows.
