As they wrap up their most successful year to date, the boys from Mar Haze are today, Friday December 18, releasing the music video to breakthrough track, Barber Shop, and later this evening, are hosting their Christmas party at Oxford Art Factory, Sydney.

The crew have been kicking major goals over 2015, including placing in the top 10 on triple j’s Unearthed Roots chart, securing triple j play, performing at Australian Music Week and slaying the triple j Unearthed FOTSUN spot last weekend.

The band’s lead singer Dean Mitchell explained the story behind the clip: “We worked hard to produce a high quality film clip, but were cautious to not create an over complicated clip.

“As Barber Shop is such a unique sounding song, our goal was to make a music video that doesn’t distract viewers from the distinctive sound we created. “If you listen to the lyrics, you’ll notice there is a story being told, but we decided not play it out in the music video, in an attempt to keep the audience intrigued,” Mr Mitchell says.
