Earlier this month Kim and Julian came to Tone Deaf HQ to chat with us about their new album Hi Viz. We took the opportunity to sit them down and make them watch A LOT of their amazing music videos because truly, The Presets have A LOT of amazing music videos. They told us crazy stories about swimming in hot powdered milk, having piles of ash blown at them by a leaf blower, and shivering from a magic mushroom comedown while filming the video for Talk Like That.

Looking back these clips takes us back to an banging and eclectic assortment of hits – as Kim said whilst speaking to Tone Deaf recently, “Musically, we always tried to forge our own lane, and it’s not like we’re jumping onto trends. We’re pushing our own thing. We’ve never felt aligned with any of the genres we’ve been pigeonholed into.”

The band have been drip feeding us snippets of tracks from the album for the past week across their social platforms. I have heard the album and can TEASE you with the information that it is very amazing and very much not what you expect! Hi Viz will also feature collaborations from Shane Parsons from DZ Deathrays, Jake Shears from Scissor Sisters, Alison Wonderland, DMA’s and Touch Sensitive. The band are also touring nationally this June.

Tickets for the tour go on sale at 12pm, Wednesday, April 11 via Live Nation.
