The 90s flashbacks just keep on coming! Swedish pop stars Roxette have announced that rather than playing just the single Sydney concert originally slotted in for next February, they have decided to undertake a whole tour of Australia due to overwhelming demand.

They’ll now play shows across Australia plus a second show in Sydney next February with tickets going on sale on Monday August 29 at 9am sharp. Roxette topped the charts three times in Australia with singles ‘It Must Have Been Love’, ‘Joyride’ and ‘The Look’ , while their associated albums all made the top three of the charts.

The band comprised of guitarist Per Gessle and singer Marie Fredriksson went in to hiatus while Fredriksson successfully fought a brain tumour, and after a tentative start in Russia on a comeback tour, they’ve no clocked up a million ticket sales on a tour that has trekked through Europe, South America and South Africa, before their next stop in Australia and New Zealand.

Their new album Charm School was released earlier this year, topping the charts in several European countries and will be accompanied on this tour by a tailored Australian only greatest hits package.
