Fresh from releasing her killer new single ‘P Plates’, Sydney’s Ruby Fields is having quite a big day, not only unleashing the film clip for ‘P Plates’, but also announcing a massive national tour for later in the year.

Self-identifying as an “average chick”, Ruby Fields’ casual approach to music has taken the Aussie music scene by storm. With only two singles under her belt so far, the level of success that she has experienced so far is an amazing indicator of things to come for this chilled Aussie muso.

Having released the single ‘P Plates’, a taste of her upcoming EP, a couple of weeks back, Ruby Fields is stoked to release the single’s film clip today.

Featuring Ruby and her friends, the video shows her heading off on a hitch-hiking journey. “I’ve always loved hand held film stuff and knew I wanted the next film clip to be a little more fun,” Ruby said. “So I just kind of came up with the concept of hitch hiking and each driver having their own personality until I finally got to a car dealership to get my own ride and go on tour.”

“It was sick putting my mates in the clip, it was super rushed so they killed it. We did it all in a day about a week after I thought up the concept. It feels very me, because it’s super grubby and kind of disorganised.”

On top of that though, Ruby Fields has announced an national tour which will see her hit up Byron Bay, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Mandurah, and Perth over a couple of weeks in November. Bringing along rockers Totty, these dates are undoubtedly going to be one of the hottest tickets on the Aussie music scene, so you’d best not miss Ruby Fields when she comes to your neck of the woods.
