Time to get your Smooth Operator on – because suburban dinner party muzak of the 1980s and 1990s is making a comeback down under. Sade, the chart topping British band fronted by Nigerian born Sade Adu is bringing their brand of smooth soul, jazz, R&B and soft rock to Australian arenas and wineries as part of the Day On The Green series of summer shows. Fronted by Nigerian born Sade Adu, the band that your Dad probably seduced your Mum to back in the 1980s is set to help your folks reminisce with their string of elevator music hits, such as ‘The Sweetest Taboo’, ‘Your Love is King’ and ‘Is it a Crime?’ through to ‘Soldier of Love’ and of course their iconic ‘Smooth Operator’.

The band are currently on a critically acclaimed world tour in the wake of the 2010 release of their sixth studio album Soldier of Love, and they’ve been doing brisk business in the US where fans have voted with their feet and wallets, clocking up over 400,000 bums on seats across the country.
