British grime superstar Skepta has announced his debut headline tour of Australia, unveiling a slew east coast dates in conjunction with his appearance at Listen Out festival.

The ‘Shutdown’ rapper will be making his way to Melbourne’s Forum Theatre and Sydney’s Opera House concert hall in late September, where he’ll be performing tracks of his massive 2016 album Konichiwa.

Skepta was scheduled to perform in the country in 2016 following Konichiwa’s release, however, cancelled due to “unexpected personal reasons”. The rapper has received a multitude of critical acclaim, winning the 2016 Mercury Prize and is widely regarded as a central figure of the modern British grime scene.

Skepta will appear at this year’s instalment of Listen Out festival alongside the world’s best in hip hop and electronic, including ASAP Rocky, Brockhampton and Skrillex.
