Paul Kelly is one of Australia’s most treasured singer-songwriters, with a discography of songs that are considered essential to the Australian musical canon. Most recently, he’s been busying himself with his ambitious collaborative project, the Merri Soul Sessions.

So how do you celebrate the unofficial songwriter laureate of this great sunburnt land? You create a hilarious parody Twitter account and tweet relentlessly about a song he happened to write about making gravy. At least, that’s what one legend has done.

As FasterLouder note, while Paul Kelly has his own official Twitter account for keeping fans abreast of his tour schedules and various activities, an unknown Twitter champion has created the parody account @itsthegravyman and it’s absolutely glorious.

Most of the account’s tweets are inspired by the Kelly classic ‘How To Make Gravy’ and what’s more, the official Paul Kelly Twitter account has even gone ahead and retweeted @itsthegravyman – he truly is a legend.
