Soundwave Revolution has started to announce some of the venues for this September and October’s Soundwave Revolution festival gigs around the country. Organiser AJ Maddah began tweeting some of the locations this morning, with some of the venues off the rock n’ roll beaten track which is set to ensure that most punters are first time visitors.

Brisbane’s event returns to RNA Showgrounds, while Sydney’s event will be held out in Parramatta at the Old Kings Oval, and in Melbourne the event will be held at Tabcorp Park in Melton, 40 kilometres from the CBD, although organisers are promising to put on extra trains and heaps of free shuttle buses.

Locations for Perth and Adelaide are yet to be confirmed, but Maddah says that in Perth the festival will happen at “either Steel Blue or Joondalup” Ovals and as for Adelaide the original venue fell through (“it was going to be Ellis Park, but turns out the land is seriously toxic”) is now confirmed, (“very happy with it”), but he is yet to confirm the exact location.

Presale tickets for Brisbane and Sydney are now on sale priced at $176.25 from www.soundwaverevolution.com, with Melbourne presales set to happen tomorrow, Thursday 26th May.
