Perth’s Southbound Festival, which draws many of its acts from those playing the Fals Festival in Lorne in Victoria and Marion Bay in Australia has revealed another round of headliners for its event this coming January.

Joining the likes of the Arctic Monkeys, Fleet Foxes and The Jezabels, the event which takes place at Sir Stewart Bovell Park in Busselton, sees the aforementioned headliners joined by Canadian electro shock therapists Crystal Castles, beloved Australian troubadour Josh Pyke, former Mint Chick Ruban Neilson’s Unknown Mortal Orchestra  and hot to trot Sydney newcomers Papa vs Pretty.

As you would have witnessed earlier this year as singer Alice Glass refused to let her broken foot slow down Crystal Castles at the Big Day Out, their sonic terrorism is a live aural assault not to be missed, contrasting with the sweet folk balladry of Josh Pyke, who has his latest album Only Sparrows, due for release in late August and possibly sees him set to join the pantheon of the great Australian singer songwriters. So, that’s it in a nutshell – more big acts and news on where to get your tickets.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 9AM on Wednesday 17th August. Details relating to ticket types and pricing will be announced in the coming weeks.
