It’s all happening for psychedelic rockers Stonefield, featuring the four Findlay sisters from a farm near Gisbourne, aged between 13 and 20. Local guitar hero Matt Sonic had this to say about the band’s live show: “It was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen in my life. I felt like I was watching The Jackson 5, I was that blown away by the musical talent of these young sisters.”

After winning over fans at the recent Boogie! and CherryRock011 Festivals the girls have been signed to Wunderkind/Warner in Australia and will perform at the legendary Glastonbury Festival in the UK next week. Their latest single ‘Black Water Rising’ can now be heard all over Triple J and they are headlining a farewell show this Friday 10 June at Ding Dong Lounge in Market Lane, City.

And in an exciting late development Stonefield have been invited by the AFL to perform live at the MCG this Saturday night ahead of the Cats v Hawks blockbuster, as the feature act for this week’s special Women’s Round. Performing in front of 80,000 footy fans at the ‘G, should be the ideal warm-up for Stonefield’s very next gig at Glastonbury.
