Melbourne’s much loved Summadayze Festival, held at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, is set to have Tha Doggfather, Snoop Dogg to headline the event. Since recently racking up number one hits through collaborations with Katy Perry and David Guetta, the original gangsta has taken a decidedly pop bent, in addition to his obsession with Britain’s Royal Family.

Snoop was last in Australia in April where he headlined the Supafest Urban Music Festival, and this time his Visa was approved by the Australian Government, unlike back in 2007 when then then Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews blocked his Visa application, with then then Prime Minister saying a the time that the dope smoking hip hopper was a “man of poor character.”

He’s set to be top billing at the event that will also feature the Scissor Sisters, Grandmaster Flash and Moby; as well as DJs Calvin Harris, Erick Morillo and Sasha.
