A group of Facebook users have come together to help find a Sydney City Limits attendee who attacked a punter at Saturday’s festival.

The Internet is often a wonderful place. While it can sometimes be a tricky beast, other times it can result in some rather fantastic things. Now, the Internet has been utilised to help track down a bloke who thought it would be alright to attack a punter at Sydney City Limits.

As Pedestrian reports, photographer Pat Stevenson took to Facebook last night to share an account of a rather shocking event at Saturday’s festival.

According to Stevenson, he was in the process of taking photos of a group of female attendees when an unknown group of inebriated men attempted to photobomb the shoot. After politely declining and asking the men to cease, they allegedly continued to harass Stevenson.

After a brief confrontation, Stevenson alleges that one of the men then punched him in the face, leaving him “dazed”, before they ran away.

Sharing an image of the alleged attacker on Facebook, Stevenson asked for his followers to help find the unknown man. “I am hoping someone on Facebook knows at least one of the guys in this shot, Police are very eager to speak to them.”

However, he didn’t have to wait long, as just one hour later, Pat Stevenson amended his post to announce that the man had been identified, with his details being forwarded to local police.

“Hey Guys, the gronk who assaulted me while I was working at SCL music festival in Sydney on Saturday has been identified, I have his details (wow facebook, that took 1 hour) and I am reporting him to police,” Stevenson reported.

“No one should fear being assaulted at a music festival or anywhere for that matter.”

Let this be a lesson to you if you ever even consider attacking someone at a festival: don’t do it, because you will be caught.
