Bluesfest is already one of the biggest festivals that Australia has ever seen, with huge international and local names coming together to perform a stunning series of performances at the festival’s home in Byron Bay. But now, the festival is set to get that little bit bigger once more.

Yes, announced today, internationally-acclaimed local legend Tash Sultana is set to close out the opening day of the festival’s main stage with another one of her explosive performances now added to the schedule.

While Tash Sultana was already on track to perform a Sunday evening slot between Ziggy Alberts and the John Butler Trio, this new performance will see Tash follow on from a series of living legends, including Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, Gomez, and Leon Bridges.

Bluesfest is set to kick off in just a couple of weeks, and will feature the likes of Robert Plant And The Sensational Space Shifters, Lionel Richie, The New Power Generation, and much much more. Tickets are still available to the fest, but with so much going on, there’s every chance that if you don’t pick up yours now, you’ll be left red-faced on the day.
