Australia’s prince of perversion and dirty rock n’ roll, Tex Perkins, has announced a tour for his massive tribe of followers to get intimate with the chief of rock n’ roll behaviour for an evening. Still occasionally called to duties with the Cruel Sea and the Beasts of Bourbon, this tour sees Tex Perkins & The Dark Horses, his wound up schizophrenic country rock project with Charlie Owen and Joel Silbersher sees them welcoming two new members, bassist Steve Hadley and drummer Gus Agars.

Tex may be in his 40s these days, but he has left the mid life crisis which saw him donning white linen suits in his record contract ending act The Ladyboyz. Indeed, he has also left his love of playing Johnny Cash songs a la Folsom Prison and is now intending to do it for the reprobate fans of Melbourne and Sydney – get your tickets for these intimate shows without delay.

Thursday June 16th – Factory Theatre, Sydney
Friday June 17th – Thornbury Theatre, Melbourne
Saturday 18th June – Thornbury Theatre, Melbourne
