Legendary Texan psychedelic rock warlords The Black Angels have sent Aussie fans in to meltdown with the news that they’re making their debut Australian appearances this June and July. The hard touring band are set to release their latest studio album Phosphene Dream on June 24th in Australia, which was produced and mixed by Dave Sardy (Oasis, Wolfmother, Black Mountain) over a period of six months in Los Angeles.

Renowned for their high energy, tightly wound stage shows, this record marks a big leap forward for the band and Aussie fans are lucky enough to be seeing them only a week after the release of the album. While they play just three shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, as an added bonus for fans, they’re bringing vibe-man, Joel Gion of the Brian Jonestown Massacre to perform a DJ set.  Tickets go on sale Wednesday May 11th.
