Brisbane’s renowned troubadours and celebrated boozehounds The Gin Club have announced a new tour – for no other reason than that they want to get out on the road, play music and hit the piss. Tat’s as good enough an excuse as we’ve ever heard one for a tour down at Tone Deaf HQ.

They’re not heading in to this Australian interstate highway and shit truck stop heart of darkness all by themselves, however. The band have managed to seduce, threaten and bribe some rather exciting musicians into playing alongside them, including Melbourne’s Harmony, a new project featuring members from The Nation Blue, The Ukeladies and McClusky who combined channel Joseph Conrad through dark white soul music with glorious female backing vocals.

Joining them is the talented indie songstress Laura Imbruglia, and Melbourne via Kiwiland’s Howl At The Moon. Tables will be turned, however in Sydney when The Gin Club will be subject to Melbourne’s iconic Wagons when they pop in to the saloon all rowdy and under the influence at the Annandale Hotel where Wagons will be popping a few bullets around the feet of the support and say ‘C’mon make us DANCE!’

You’ve all been warned – this tour will be like no other.
