Genre-blurring legends Regurgitator, three-piece comedy machine Tripod, and Drones frontman Gareth Liddiard head up a massive first round of acts announced for The Gum Ball 2017.

Also announced are Benjalu vocalist Ben Gumbleton’s new project Boo Seeka, garage rockers The Peep Tempel, singer songwriter Liz Stringer (tip: get her excellent album All The Bridges), laid back folk singer Jack Carty, jangly pop group The Ocean Party, 8 piece brass-infused reggae rock group The Steele Syndicate, bluesman Mick Hart, African a cappella group Africa Entsha and the ethereal, Joni-esque Freya Josephine Hollick.

The boutique three-day camping festival returns for its twelve installment in April 2017, and has the same BYO policy as always, which is always a plus considering the creeping prices of festival drinks these days.

The Gum Ball is also all ages, and features gourmet food stalls, a licensed bar, a late night silent disco (those things are freaky), a kids crèche in the evenings so you can make it both a family event and an adult event, workshops, morning yoga to downward dog all the previous night’s toxins away, pro-skater demonstrations, and live artworks.

Tickets for the Sunday are sold out, but you can get Full weekend and Saturday only tickets here.

The Gum Ball is on Friday, April 21 to Sunday, April 23, 2017. Full lineup below this video.
