We’d like to know a little bit about you for our files, but we don’t like regurgitating press releases or asking the easy questions. At Tone Deaf we only ask the tough questions, so just hold still, grit your teeth, clench your buttocks and be still while we put on the rubber gloves, apply the thumbscrews, and pull out our thermometer while you open up and say ahhhhhhhhhhh… Truthful answers only or we drink your rider while you’re on stage.

Who gets the most ‘off stage action’ in the band?  What’s the secret to their success?

Dittman does, Jono thinks he does and he’ll hate me for saying it but Dittman has got the runs on the board across 3 countries over 2 years. I think it’s because he’s a happy drunk… The ladies love him!

Have you ever been arrested? Where were you, and what was it for?

Unfortunately there was a warrant out for my arrest a few years ago. Nothing interesting though… was for unpaid fines. They did take me away though….

What’s been the worst day job you’ve ever had?

Working on a farm bailing hay. You really can’t understand how hard work can be until you’ve bailed hay in an open paddock when it’s 40c.

Sex, drugs and groupies – In what order do you prefer them and how often?

They’re all good in their place but I’m pretty boring I guess… Not big on the drugs, no groupies to mention and I think I’m getting too old for sex and I’m not sure anyone wants to have sex with me hahahaha

Take us back to the first gig you went to. Where was it and what was the venue?

Colac Hight School hall I saw the Huxton Creepers. Man I loved that band… I went out and got all their albums and dressed like them after that show

What’s your favourite site to download music from and do you ever pay for it? Can we find any of your releases there?

I pay for downloads, particularly if the $ go directly to the artist. I like using www.bandcamp.com at the moment…. Lots of DIY artists.

What’s the furthest you’d go to win over a new fan?

More to the point what won’t I do!

Right, here’s the plug section – tell us about upcoming gigs/tours and releases.
