After taking a break whilst each member pursued other creative outlets, The Saboteurs, made up of Jack White, Brendan Benson, and bandmates in The Greenhornes Patrick Keeler and Jack Lawrence, have announced a string of dates in the US, marking a return 3 years in the making.

In an interview with Billboard Magazine, bassist Jack Lawrence said “Something starts stirring the kettle, and all of a sudden we’re playing. That’s it. We got a couple offers for these festivals, and I think it just felt like the right time to try to get back together and do a few shows and see how we do since we last left off.”

But despite their last album ‘Consolers Of The Lonely’ being released in 2008 there are no words yet whether they’ll be hitting the studio to record new material.

When asked Lawrence replied “It’s hard to say, We’re all doing other projects, still, so it’s hard to tell what’s going to happen. We never really plan anything; it just depends on what the mood is with all of us. But if it feels right, by the time we do these shows I’m sure we’ll want to do more and we’ll make some time for it.”

Here’s hoping that any new material be better than Jack White’s last effort with the Insane Clown Posse.
