The White Stripes might have gone splitsville earlier this year, but that hasn’t stopped them offering some of the most eagerly anticipated singles for next month’s Record Store Day.  Jack White’s Third Man records are putting out ‘Let’s Shake Hands’ and ‘Lafayette Blues’ which were the White Stripes’ first two singles, released way back in 1998. Third Man Records are due to make an announcement in the next day or two about the number of singles that will be re-issued and where.

In the meantime check out an incendiary performance of ‘Let’s Shake Hands’ in their Under Great Northern Lights DVD which features, of all things we expect from The White Stripes, a Scottish marching band introduction.
