If you were getting pumped up to head along to the Sing It Loud Tour when it came your way in September, we’ve got some bad news to share with you. The tour has been cancelled, only weeks out from when it was supposed to kick off.

When the tour was announced back in April, fans were stoked at the prospect of seeing some of their ’00s heroes, such as Alien Ant Farm, Wheatus, Hoobastank, CKY, and Lit, some of which haven’t hit up Australian shores in many years. But as The Music reports, news has come forward that the tour has in fact been cancelled by tour promoters MJR Presents.

With the tour’s original start date of September 26th under a month away, a statement of explanation has been posted onto the Ticketmaster’s pages for the event, stating: “Due to unforeseen logistical issues this tour has been cancelled entirely. Unfortunately things couldn’t be lined up to make it happen.”

Promoters also stated that all ticket purchasers are set to receive a full refund, but as Music Feeds notes, MJR Presents has claimed that fans have already been refunded, due to the event’s cancellation actually occurring a few weeks ago.

No word has come forth yet as for a more detailed explanation for the cancellation, and none of the bands on the tour have spoken publicly about it yet.

In light of the tour’s cancellation, commiserate with us by having a listen to Alien Ant Farm’s classic track ‘Movies’, below.
