Tell us about your EP, Morning Has Finally Come. What inspired it? How does it differ from your earlier work?

This EP was much more of a band effort compared to our first. Our first EP was essentially a collection if songs Charlie and I had recorded at home with Kurt playing drums in my bedroom. Since then we’ve formed a full band and have toured a fair bit so this record sounds like a band. I even notice we use the word ‘we’ a lot more in these songs.

What’s your earliest memory of performing and who inspired you to start?

Charlie and Kurt grew up in Tamworth and were performing by the age of 10 so they were playing Jonny Cash and Slim Dusty before they started high school. My Brother and sister and myself grew up watching my Michael Jackson videos so I think we all danced on stage before we sang.

The EP has been receiving some great reviews along with your live shows. The buzz is building as well as the expectations, how does it all sit with you guys?

We’re just so glad people like he music we’re making because we like it heaps. You can never really plan that so we’re buzzing too.

You must answer this question honestly or we steal your rider. What and where was the first gig you went to?

If you want embarrassing… For my little brother’s 16th, I took him to see Hilary Duff at the Entertainment Centre. It was his first rock show.

Your band name obviously pays homage to one of the worlds big cats. Does this mean you guys are crazy cat lovers?

I like my cat a lot. I think it’s the fact that Tigers are from India is the connection. Charlie and Kurt are both from India too.

‘Fess up. What records have you stolen from your parent’s record collection and why?

Fleetwood Mac Rumours, because it changed my life. Ricky Lee Jones, because she was wearing a cool beret.

What’s on heavy rotation on your iPod right now?

Ryan Adams, Cold Roses. I watched the documentary ‘September’ which is about the Cardinals forming, so I have a new love for this album.

When you’re Rolling Stones Big, what are you going to request on your rider: don’t be shy. We want specifics!

A proper coffee machine with 3 day old roasted coffee. A barrel of rum, and James Taylor singing to us softly in the corner.

Because it’s more fun to do things together, which living Australian artist would you most like to collaborate with?

Kylie Minogue cause we would end up with so much sequins and Josh Pyke cause he’s one of my favourite song writers.

What is your band’s music the best soundtrack for?

The Never Ending Story.

Let us in on your plans for 2013, what have you got in store for us?

We have almost finished writing our next EP so that will be the first thing to drop. We might even have a full length feature film clip. Actually I just though of that one.

Where we can see you play next, what releases do you have available and where can we get them?

Our EP ‘Before the Morning’ is up on iTunes and we are currently touring it across the country. Our tour dates can be found at our website www.tigertownband.com

Might also see you at Harvest Festival!
