Just a couple of weeks ago, Tiny Little Houses finally released their highly-anticipated debut album Idiot Proverbs. Now, the Melbourne group have released the brilliant video for their newest single, ‘Short Hair’.

With the group’s past tunes featuring rather introspective themes, ‘Short Hair’ is no exception, and is undoubtedly set to become the anthem of the outcast.

Inspired by an anecdote shared by the uncle of singer Caleb Karvountis’ girlfriend, in which he picked on an ‘uncool’ friend by saying “he likes to let his short hair down,” the tune relishes in the idea of not being popular.

The clip for ‘Short Hair’ features a large-eared protagonist attending a pretty swish house party, in which he finds himself rather out of place. It doesn’t take long for him to realise that pretence won’t help him fit in, and decides to just be himself by dancing and having the time of his life.

Tiny Little Houses are also set to hit the road in a matter of days for their Idiot Proverbs album tour. With dates all over the country, there’s no excuse for not heading out to see one of Australia’s best indie-rock bands of the moment.

Check out the video for ‘Short Hair’ below, or head over to Apple Music where you can grab the tune all for yourself.
