Holy Moly, it’s Tone Deaf’s first birthday party and we’re throwing a massive party to celebrate. In just a year we’ve become one of the biggest music websites in Australia, we’ve got a name for throwing some of the biggest rock n’ roll parties in Melbourne and now we’re getting ready to bring our live nights to Adelaide and Sydney. We couldn’t have done this without your support and we’ve put together an amazing line up to say thank you. Steve Kilbey of The Church needs little introduction, having penned Australian anthems such as Under The Milky Way and The Unguarded Moment, as well as producing an amazing body of music, art, performance and writing. Ricky Maymi is a long serving guitarist in the Brian Jonestown Massacre and has just completed a world tour with the band. He is also a multi-talented instrumentalist who has also been a recent guest with The Triffids in recent tribute performances. Together these two have put together a live performance, backed by Shaun & Adrian Hoffman, which showcases Kilbey’s output, for a one off show in Melbourne.

Joining them on the night will be shoegaze sensations Lowtide. Previously known as Three Month Sunset, the band are playing their first show in four months. They’ve fast become one of the hottest bands in Melbourne, selling out their EP launch in June and leaving disappointed fans in a queue down the street. Opening up proceedings with another of Australia’s hottest bands; The Demon Parade toured Australia with the Brian Jonestown Massacre earlier this year and are wowing fans with their God Said It’s Legal EP. With Teddy Girls DJs and the Tone Deaf DJ crew on the decks till the wee hours this is going to be one of the biggest parties of the year. We’re also expecting a few VIP guests and as always, we’ve got $10 jugs before 10pm. Tickets are just $15 – this will sell out!
