Riff-rockin’ blues kings The Fumes have reignited with a fierce energy and a new line up and fresh record titled Bloodless, and to celebrate they’re currently on the road, bringing their classic hard rocking style to every corner of the country.

Bloodless is The Fumes’ third studio album and has been two years in the making.

Recorded at Ivory Lane Studios with new band member and producer Ryan Hazell (The Drones, Green Buzzard, The Snowdroppers) Bloodless is a brutal tale of heartfelt truth.

The album is filled to the brim with blues riffs that reach for the jugular, soaring melodies, blissful melancholy, and aggressive balls-out raucous- ness.

The Fumes have truly delivered an album to show they’re back and they mean it. To celebrate the release of this record, the guys have penned a very concise track by track which you can check out below. For more info on the guys, pop by their Facebook page.

Silverstar

I was thinking about the Rolling Stones and Dinosaur Jr having group sex and this is what happened, with a storyline from long ago.

Broke a Chain

A story of breaking away from responsibilities, past generations and how the inertia of one event can affect present reality.

Why

The first track we wrote with the three-piece lineup. I had some shit to vent.

Bloodless

I wrote this song on piano quite some time ago. As is so often with me it’s not really about one specific person or subject but more a mixture of diff situation that are someway similar, and a lil substance abuse.

Jazz

An existential view of life and being, taken from short burst experiences of mind altering substance abuse whilst attempting to write directly from the heart to the pen, (without the filter of ego) to the rhythms of acid jazz.

Eat This Sucker

Is basically about having fun, and also substance abuse. You’ll get the picture.

Over The River

Had quite a few things to overcome, this was a good soundtrack for it.

Lonely

To begin with was an observation of a friend in a dire situation of the heart, which ended up becoming my own reality. Love is raw…

Be A Friend

Is about the feeling of disconnect when your young and self absorbed. The good ‘ol days.

Annihilation

Love is beautiful and brutal.
