Trent Reznor is responsible for some of modern music’s most grating and haunting soundscapes, acting as a pioneer in the world of industrial metal. Although darkness is inherently part of Reznor’s persona, he isn’t too comfortable with others pointing out his spooky proclivities.

As originally reported by TMZ, Reznor has taken out a restraining order on a neighbour who apparently constantly harassed Reznor, shouting that “Satan would get him”.

The report states that the police got involved after six months of constant threatening and irrational behaviour. His neighbour, who goes by the name Nader Afshar, allegedly ranted that “rich people can do anything they want, but the Lord will get them in the end”. We wouldn’t want them to get any, closer, either to be completely honest.

Reznor has also said the rants would continue whilst Afshar would appear “disheveled wearing an open shirt, shorts and Santa hat walking up and down the sidewalk”

A judge has agreed to keep Afshar at least 10 yards away from Reznor, his family and employees, with a court hearing due to take place next month.

Nine Inch Nails last released the Ad Violence EP in July 2017, with rumours of a new album swelling as the band gear up to take the stage at major festivals around the globe.
