If there’s one thing we know by now, it’s that triple j are unequivocal supporters of Aussie music, and their Unearthed program has been giving young artists the chance to reach dizzying heights in record time. Now, triple j Unearthed are looking for a band to play the upcoming Sydney City Limits festival.
When Sydney City Limits was announced a few months back, Aussie music fans were amazed at the brilliant lineup that was about to descend upon them. Featuring astonishing international acts by the likes of Beck, Justice, Phoenix, Grace Jones, and The Libertines, and amazing local acts, including The Avalanches, Dune Rats, Gang Of Youths, Tash Sultana, and Bad//Dreems, it’s a lineup that only comes once in a lifetime – and you can be part of it.
So, how do you get involved? Well, if you’re a Sydney muso who aligns with the dance, pop, indie, electronic, or hip-hop genres, then make sure you’ve got your best tracks up on triple j Unearthed by February 4th. It’s that easy!
Just think, next month your music could be heard by one of the biggest festival crowds in Australia, while some of the biggest names in music look on from side of stage. If that sounds like something you’re into, make sure you’ve got your tunes uploaded as soon as possible.
Sydney City Limits is set to take place at Sydney’s Centennial Park on February 24th. If you’re not in Sydney though, don’t worry, plenty of acts are bringing their live shows to you with a series of highly-anticipated sideshows.
