Brisbane’s grunge-punk luminaries Violent Soho have announced their headlining slot at what’s set to be a massive closing night for this year’s Brisbane festival.

Having headlined festivals around the country for years now, the band will be bringing their uncompromisingly heavy, yet catchy sound and crushing live show to Brisbane’s iconic Riverstage in a one-off night of Aussie music worship.

Joining the fellow Brisbanites will be soul songstress Meg Mac and dream pop gazers Methyl Ethyl, alongside Waax, who are proving themselves to be one of Australia’s most promising rock acts.

The show will be held in conjunction with the festival’s Sunsuper Riverfire as a stand-alone event to close out this year’s massive Brisbane festival on September 29th. Tickets for the huge show go on sale this Friday, June 29th, at 10 am, with pre-sale tickets available on June 28th.

2018’s instalment of Brisbane Festival is shaping up to be a massive year for music and culture lovers, with previously announced musical acts including Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Canada’s Destroyer and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever.

Brisbane Festival kicks off on the 8th of September and wraps up on the 29th, giving you plenty of time to soak up all the incredible events and installations on offer around the city. Over the course of the festival, Brisbanites will be treated to live music, world-class comedy, theatre and fireworks – in short, there’s pretty much something for anyone to enjoy.
