Melbourne’s infamous rock n’ roll footy Community Cup is on the horizon, and a young band are being given to join the line up for the pre-game and half time entertainment. For the second year running, SYN Radio has teamed up with the Reclink Community Cup to present the SYN Free Kick Competition – which offers an emerging band or artist the opportunity to perform at this year’s Reclink Community Cup.
Last year’s cheeky winners Money for Rope rocked the stage and went on to play Splendour In The Grass, and now they’re looking for another bunch of young upstarts to do it this year! Any band or artist with members under the age of 30 can enter the SYN Competition.
Fill out the entry form (make sure you have a squiz at the Terms & Conditions too), and get it through to SYN by Sunday 24 April with your demo, band bio and a mug shot of yourselves.
SYN will then choose a short list to battle it out at the final, which will be held on Sunday May 22nd at The Tote. The winning band will be decided by a heavyweight panel judges from SYN, PBS 106.7FM, Triple R 102.7FM and the Espy Rockdogs. Any questions? Contact: [email protected]
