Icehouse’s stellar comeback continues apace, with fans queuing up down the street to see them play at a secret show at The Espy in the Melbourne bayside suburb of St Kilda last month.

Now Iva Davies and the band want to give a lucky band or solo performer from Western Sydney the opportunity of a lifetime to play live on stage with them at their Penrith show on the 29th September 2011. The only requirements are that one or more band members need to be a local to the area and that the band kicks arse live!

Iva Davies reflects: “I remember when Icehouse first started performing and how difficult it was to find gigs where there would be a receptive audience. So we’d like to give someone the opportunity to play with us to a crowd in their home area. We’re looking for artists interesting songs who can play well and connect to the audience through their performance. I’ve worked with a lot of young, talented people in the past couple of years and I know how much this great talent there is out. So now I’d like to see what Western Sydney has to offer.’

For your chance to get to perform in front of over 1000 screaming fans, head over to www.facebook.com/icehouseband, click on the left hand tab, Play with ICEHOUSE, and fill out your details. Entries will be open from this Friday 26th August and close midday 11th September. The winner will be contacted within 72 hours of entries closing and the winner will be announced on the ICEHOUSE facebook page.

ICEHOUSE take the stage at the Evan Theatre at Penrith Panthers on Thursday 29th September, tickets available from www.penrith.panthers.com.au or alternatively on  (02) 4720 5555.
