Liam Gallagher lives his life in a pursuit to defend the glory of good time rock n roll so it’s understandable the former Oasis frontman got pretty excited to see a young’n at his Sydney headline show.

Taking a break from his epic Fall Festival sets, the icon played a show at Sydney’s Hordern Pavillion, dedicating the legendary acoustic camp fire jam, ‘Wonderwall’ to a fan. (Probably a lot more exciting than when your Year 10 crush dedicated it to you as Jessica’s 16th birthday party….)

Gallagher also gifted the young fan one of his famous tambourine to play along with the heart string tugger. Last year, Liam revealed that he has a collection of around “1,500 to 2,000” tambourines, “round ones and triangular”, so gesture wasn’t too much of a stretch, but hey, it’s the thought that counts!

Liam has expressed huge praise for the enthusiasm of his audience, taking to Twitter to saying that this current Australian tour is “up there with the best”.
