The Killers are responsible for some of modern rock music’s most iconic sing-a-long anthems, the type of tracks that continue to see the life of day in an otherwise fickle world.

The band took to the stage to headline Lollapalooza Chile, performing a rousing career spanning set. However, they proved that not even having a song like Mr. Brightside under your belt (which just scored its 200th week in the UK top 100) can ensure you’re immune to the temptation of covering ‘Wonderwall’.

In a spontaneous move, the band played it as a tribute to their mate Liam Gallagher who had to cut his own Lollapalooza set short due to an apparently severe chest infection.

“We heard you missed out on a couple of songs today that you wanted to hear,” Flowers told the crowd. “Before I sing this song, I would first like to say that Liam Gallagher is my king—he’s one of my kings. This is in no way meant to disparage anything that he did.”
