One of the coolest things about being a professional musician must be the ability to be invited to play some pretty awesome gigs with some amazingly talented musicians. That must be what members of some of music’s biggest bands, including Alice In Chains and Weezer, must be thinking now, ahead of a rare charity performance by The Hellcat Saints.

As Consequence Of Sound reports, The Hellcat Saints are set to perform a fundraising concert for cancer patients this week at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.

The Hellcat Saints are a rather underrated supergroup led by Dave Kushner of Velvet Revolver. Famed for its revolving-door lineup, previous musicians to play with the band have included Johnny Depp, Guns N’ Roses’ Gilby Clarke, Jane’s Addiction’s Dave Navarro, Juliette Lewis, and Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington. Needless to say, some pretty huge names have played with the band over the years.

This Friday though, members of rock music’s biggest bands are set to join Kushner, as Jerry Cantrell (Alice In Chains), Josh Freese (Devo, The Vandals, Nine Inch Nails), Billy Duffy (The Cult), Scott Shriner (Weezer), and Franky Perez (Apocalyptica) are all set to make an appearance, amongst many others.

Also performing on the night will be the legendary Jane’s Addiction, helping to prove that some of the biggest bands in the world of rock music can donate their time to helping raise money for charity.

Of course, the down side to all this is the fact that it’s happening in Los Angeles this Friday, so if you’re not already in the area, you might need to wait for video footage to hit the Internet after the fact. If you do happen to find yourself near the Hollywood Palladium this week and are looking for something to do, make sure you head to the Rhonda’s Kiss website and buy a ticket to support a good cause.
