The first wave of artists have been announced for 2012’s West Coast Blues ‘N’ Roots Festival and not surprisingly the Western Australian arm of the Australia’s blues festival scene has booked several artists who will appear on the east coast’s Byron Bay Bluesfest bill.

Crossing the country for the 9th Annual West Coast Blues ‘N’ Roots Festival will be legendary harmonisers Crosby, Stills & Nash (the only group to be inducted into the Hall Of Fame twice), roustabout Celts The Pogues (their first time to Oz since 1989), working class ska doyens The Specials, as well as Kentucky’s finest My Morning Jacket, guitar god Buddy Guy, Copperhead Road’s Steve Earle, Grammy Award winner Keb’ Mo’ and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue (who provided one of the biggest highlights at the Byron Bay) plus locals Husky and Felicity Groom.

Returning to Fremantle Park for the third year, the festival will be held on April 1st 2012 (for serious) and tickets will go on sale to the general public at 9am WST on Monday 5th December. More artist announcements are due soon!
