Americana, is music that honors and is derived from the traditions of American roots music. Americana is music inspired by American culture traditions. It’s a vast genre, which encompasses a wide range of music, specifically those sounds that are merged from folk, country, blues, rhythm and blues and of course rock n roll and bluegrass, especially in the 60’s, when the music was no longer exclusively American…. But whatever happened its roots could no be exclusively denied. As the roots deserved to be acknowledged the term “Americana” was coined.
