California’s The Growlers recently released their fifth full length album, Chinese Fountain, and in January 2015 they are bringing their internationally-celebrated live show to The Triffid.

After showcasing their ‘Beach Goth’ intensity to sold-out shows throughout Australia earlier this year, The Growlers returned home to California to bring you a new full-length album of reverb-heavy surf-guitar, Bakersfield-style honky-tonk, and ‘80s post-punk that fans have come to expect, but this time with a whole mix of new sounds.

Last time they were here, fans were given a sold out tour filled with intimate shows, sweaty rooms, and endless dancing as The Growlers played and surfed their way across the country. Lead singer Brooks Neilsen is the ideal front man; a mixture of swagger, performance, and dancing on stage, with each member providing a perfect sunburned and salty backdrop for Brooks to do his thing as they play hit after sweaty hit. Touring more extensively this time around than ever before; the sweat, dancing, and psychedelic surf-party will sure to please fans and newcomers alike as they make their way through metro and regional NSW, QLD and VIC.

To celebrate their return, Tone Deaf is giving Brisbane reader the chance to see the band in action on Jan 23rd at The Triffid in Brisbane. Enter your details below for a chance to win!
