It was the album and tour that nearly never happened. After two albums and the entirety of his adult-life-so-far spent in The Vasco Era — alongside bassist brother Ted O’Neil and drummer Michael Fitzgerald —Sid quit. It wasn’t the plan exactly, but the guitar-wielding front man had had enough; of the music business, of his famously electrifying band, of songwriting and of himself.

Thankfully for us he woke up to himself, came back into the fray and the trio got busy making their third, self-titled, album. Plaudits are rolling in for first single ‘Rock And Roll Is The Only Thing That Makes Me Feel Good’ and the boys have been punishing the road with buddies Papa Vs Pretty.

They’re currently making their way back toward Melbourne on their way to Adelaide and we’ve got a couple of double passes to get you into the Hi Fi show next Thursday. Drop us a line, why dontcha?
