With a unique blend of garage-rock riffs and surf-pop hooks, The Fearless Vampire Killers we know today are a far cry from the sound you would expect of four teens who made a high school pact to worship the false idols of rock n’ roll. Although the line up has changed slightly since starting out, the Melbourne outfit have proved they possess the raw talent and genius essential for creating highly infectious tracks.

The first taste from this bands powerful and intoxicating LP was “For You and Me” and the band chose Melbourne’s Soundpark Studios to make their mark and record debut album Batmania – featuring Seán Ainsworth on vocals & rhythm guitar, Jacob McGuffie on bass guitar, Justin Olsson on drums and Al Marx on lead guitar. Batmania has been produced by Lars Stalfors (The Mars Volta) and engineered by Michael Badger.

We just reviewed the album Batmania and will be up the front for the album launch at the East Brunswick Club this Saturday night. Wanna come? We can get you in for freeeeeeee!
